Solution
Go to Housekeeping € Setup € Transaction Setting € Controls:

Tick the checkbox & the discount in Summary of Cash Receipt can be keyed in or modified.

Description
When saving transaction in Cash Receipt, error message prompted:
“The on hand quantity is insufficient for the order.” Solution
There are 3 possible reasons:
1. There is no opening balance for the item
2. The balance of the item is not sufficient when saving transaction in Cash Receipt.
3. This item is marked as a serial number item, although the item is still have balance, but the serial number is not enough.

How to check:
1. Print Stock Card Report & check on the item balance.
2. Print the Serial No. Report & check on the serial number status.

Solution:
1. Maintain opening balance of the item.
2. Open a Receive transaction to increase the balance of the item.
3. Tick the “Allow to proceed when on hand quantity is not enough” at Housekeeping € Setup € Transaction Setting € Controls (if user allows the balance of the item to become negative).
4. For serial number item, maintain the serial number opening balance at Maintenance € Item Files € Item Serial No. User can open a receiving for serial number to increase the balance of the serial number stock balance.
5. Un-tick “Contain Serial No.” at Maintenance € Item Files € Item, if the item is not categorized as serial number item.

Error Message :’Saving failure’2020-01-07T06:58:16+00:00

Description
Error message prompted: “Saving failure” and/or “The reference number has been duplicated. Please check the format in transaction setting” prompt?” when saving transaction in Cash Receipt.

Solution
This message prompted because the reference number of a cash bill is repeated. In POS, once a transaction is saved, a checking process on reference number will be executed. This function is used to avoid repeated reference number exist in the database. If system found a duplicate record of the reference number in database, system will prompt this message to alert the user.
To solve it, find out the last reference number first (Transaction € Inventory Transaction € Cash Sale). Go to Housekeeping € Setup € Transaction Setting € Format. Change the current number (Cash Sales) to a new number.

  1. Check on Device Setting module, make sure the Communication Port is set
  2. Make sure that receipt printer is switched
  3. Click the Register button (for version 2005 and below, go to program folder & double click the file reg)
  4. Make sure that the Trigger Drawer Command is set

Remove all special characters such as: “*, %, #, @, &” from column “Tax%”.
